2022 Paint Color Trends
Are you wondering what the paint color trends will be for 2022?
The years of gray painted walls are finally over! We have seen gray replaced with warm neutrals over the past couple years but we are going to see a lot more color in 2022! Some trends you will see in 2022 are deep moody colors, jewel tone colors, and lots of shades of green. Here is a list of the 2022 Color of the Year paint colors by all the big paint brands.
Sherwin Williams - Evergreen Fog (SW 9130 )
Evergreen Fog is described as a “versatile and calming hue, a chameleon color of gorgeous green-meets-gray, with just a bit of blue.” I think it is a gorgeous, neutral sage green that would look beautiful on kitchen cabinets or on bedroom walls.
Behr - Breezeway
Breezeway is a pastel-like sea glass minty green that is described as being relaxed and tranquil. I think this color is definitely a breath of fresh air and would be the perfect color for a bathroom, living room, or front door.
Benjamin Moore - October Mist (1495)
October Mist is a beige-green and described as “a gently shaded sage that anchors a space”. I think it is a great neutral green color that could be used throughout the house and could act as a backdrop for other pops of color like blues, blushes, and even yellows.
HGTV Home by Sherwin-Williams - Aleutian
Unlike many of the other Colors of the Year, HGTV Home by Sherwin Williams picked a blue-gray paint color. It is described with words like ‘refuge’ and ‘restful’ and I think that is the perfect description. It is a very calming color and I could see it on the walls of any bedroom or even in a living room.
Glidden - Guacamole
Glidden chose a green like many other paint brands but Guacamole is a bit brighter than the others. It is still soothing like the other greens we’ve seen above but I feel like Guacamole is a little brighter and more youthful than the others. I can see it in a teen’s bedroom or even on a statement piece of furniture.
Valspar - Colors of 2022
Valspar released a collection of 12 paint colors they have picked to represent 2022 instead of choosing just one single color. This collection consists of a warm sage green color, a handful of warm earth toned colors, and even a pastel yellow and pink color. I think it’s a great collection of warm colors with options for many people.
It’s obvious that 2022 is going to be the year of green! Are you a fan?!
